Director, Audience Research Program
Alan Kline joined WolfBrown in 2017 to manage our audience research programs such as the Intrinsic Impact audience feedback program and the COVID-19 Audience Outlook Monitor. With WolfBrown, he has worked with over a hundred organizations across the country, helping them navigate the process of data collection and interpretation using our audience measurement tools.
Alan brings twelve years experience, having dedicated his career to assisting arts and culture organizations in better understanding their audiences and improving outreach. In addition to work for California Shakespeare Theater, The Custom Made Theatre Co., and Chabot Space and Science Center, he spent four years at Theatre Bay Area, one of America's largest performing arts service organizations. As their Marketing Resources Manager he ran a number of marketing, ticketing, and communications programs for arts organizations.
Alan trained as a theater director and stage manager, and he holds a degree in theater and dance from Oberlin College. He stays active in the social dance world as an instructor, DJ, and organizer, serving on the board for East Bay Waltz and as the president of San Francisco Bay Queer Contra Dance.
